As it name says, upload is the contrary of download (!)
The idea is to provide an easy way to send drawing files to CERN, in the ad-hoc directory, under the correct filename, knowing only the drawing numbers.
Upload is mainly used by non-CERN external design offices in order to send and archive their drawings in CDD.
The upload process is divided in 3 steps :
Drawing selection, thanks to the drawing number(s).
Source file selection.
File transmission.
Drawing Selection
Enter the drawing number, as you would do for drawing retrieval (for instance).
Type the entire drawing number (eg: ATLXDEMA0001) or a part of it (eg: ATLXDEM%) replacing missing characters by %.
Source File Selection
After you selected a drawing (from its full number or from a list), you should obtain the following page :
You may check drawing information before sending the file to CERN.
You don't need to have any knowledge of the destination of the file, the system handles it for you. You just have to indicate where is your file on your computer.
Send the File to CERN
Click the upload button and the file is sent to CERN.
